Motorbikes and music have always gone hand in hand. Whether it’s the Harley Davidson careering through a Meatloaf video or the roar of an engine at the beginning of Steppenwolf’s ‘Born To Be Wild’, there is an intrinsic beat that goes with the turn of two wheels.
And, unlike your traditional sat-nav, our Tough Cases allow you to play your favourite songs, albums and compilations when out on the road (with a little help from a Bluetooth headset!) To help you, we’ve compiled the three best music apps to ensure no adventure is without a sing-song (or two!)
Spotify (Freemium)
Long gone are the days of having to wait until you can find the 7” single of a song. Music is now at your fingertips and you can’t think of listening to a record without hitting shuffle on Spotify.
With over 20,000,000 songs on the service, you can easily pick an album and play it through – plus it won’t cost you a penny, if you don’t mind the odd advert for mouthwash – popped in between.
The ability to create sharable playlists means that you and your riding buddy can listen to the same playlist when out on-the-road.
If you don’t fancy being sold strange products in the middle of your favourite record, then at £9.99 a month, it’s not a bad option!
Plus, you can download your playlists to beam straight into your ears when offline!
Apple Music (£9.99 a month)
At £9.99 a month, Apple Music is already at a suitable disadvantage, compared to Spotify, but the service does have its positives that Spotify can’t offer.
The ability for Apple Music to offer you suggested songs in a playlists that are associated to your tastes is a huge one – ensuring that you don’t end up listening to ‘Barbie Girl’ when you’re rocking out to Rammstein.
And, with a huge database and a catalogue bigger than John Peel’s, the Apple Music system adapts and offers tailored playlists. Basically, the more you listen, the more you discover – much like riding a motorcycle!
Soundcloud (Free)
If rocking guitars or bouncing drum ‘n’ bass aren’t your think and you want to expand your mind whilst you explore the tarmac, then there is a suitable free option that has something to offer for all tastes.
From Ballet to Bikes and Football to Flower arranging, Soundcloud offers the most extensive range of podcasts on the market to suit all hobbies, interests, quirks and qualms.
With a selection of informative, humourous, historic or simply breathtaking, Soundcloud offers a free space to anyone and everyone to upload their podcast for the world to discover their views.
An ideal option if you fancy something slightly more relaxing or a good giggle!
