Mad or Nomad - Motorcycle around the World

Hey, we’re Andy and Alissa. 

We sold everything, packed up and left home on January 1, 2018 to ride round-the-world for as long as we can. So far, we’ve ridden around 30,000 miles from the UK to Japan, shipped our bike to Cambodia and are now making our way through Southeast Asia towards Australia and then Alaska (hopefully). 

So much has happened in the last two years. We’ve had countless breakdowns, Alissa broke her leg in Nepal, we joined a biker gang in Siberia, spent six months riding to every corner of Japan, melted in 40°C Uzbekistan, froze in -15°C Slovakia, raced horses in Kyrgyzstan, rode along the Roof of the World in Afghanistan, had a panic in the Pamirs and got lost somewhere in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert. And we’ve loved every second of it, well, not the broken leg bit, we definitely didn’t love that. 

We’ve made so many amazing friends who have helped us along the way, made incredible memories and learnt so much about ourselves. We hope to stay on the road and explore, have an adventure and discover another way of living.  

Are we Mad or Nomad? No idea, but we’re having a go anyway. See you on the road!
