Mounting To a 2016 Triumph Tiger 800

The Triumph Tiger range are very popular adventure touring motorcycle here in the UK. One of our valued customers has been fitting our Handlebar Clamp Bolt Attachment products to their 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 and sent us some photographs. 

For reasons only known by Triumph, they have decided to use two different diameter clamp bolts and these change based on what Tiger model you have.  

M10 on the top and M8 on the bottom, both with 1.25mm pitch which means that the M10 bolt is fine pitch and our bolts wont fit....   

The Triumph M10 bolt is a fine thread (1.25mm for an M10). The bolt that we supply with all our clamp bolts is standard course / pitch, 1.5mm for an M10, 1.25mm for M8 so our M10 bolt will not fit so please select M8.      

So it seems that Triumph have used a fine pitch for the M10 and a standard pitch for M8 – both being 1.25mm.  

So if your looking to use the Ultimateaddons Clamp Bolt attachment on a Triumph Tiger 800, please select M8 size and mount to the bottom clamp bolts. 

Please note, not all Triumphs are the same we highly recommend checking, the M8 is the common size for most manufactures but they do like to change things.
