Our waterproof, dustproof and shockproof smartphone cases are built to withstand the worst weather and conditions you can face on a motorcycle ride. We use an extra hard ABS clamshell system with a shock resistant elastomeric liner to protect your smartphones precious cameras too!
Our cases are fully touch screen compatible however due to the design of the case and to ensure they are fully IPX5 rated we omitted external button access.
However this is not a problem!
With your smartphone safely snuggled in one of our Tough cases you should have no issues accessing your navigation software as once the app is running and you have the Type C USB or lightning connector attached and the phone is charging, the screen will stay on allowing you to access all of the onscreen controls.
Most likely you will also want to use your smartphone for Bluetooth communication and music! All music controls are accessible from the headset with all of the latest intercoms so there is no need to touch your smartphone to make calls, change to the next song or adjust your music volume.
However our customers are always finding new and inventive ways to use their Ultimateaddons smartphone cases and their smartphones so there may be an instance where you need access to a hardware button.
Fear not as there is a simple way using free apps available on google play or the app store for Apple that make it a breeze!
iPhone
For the latest iPhones such as the iPhone 11 and XS ranges the screen is woken simply by tapping it with your finger so there are no problems accessing the phone in the case.However should you still have issues there are extra options.
Assistive Touch
Assistive touch is a great built in feature of IOS. It allows you to replace functions with simply a gesture or change the function of interactions like swipes to make them easier with reduced mobility. It will allow you to turn the lock screen on and off by just touching the screen.
How to activate Assistive Touch:
Samsung Galaxy or other Android smartphones
Samsung and the other smartphone manufacturers have chosen not to use tap to wake on their screens and instead use hardware buttons to engage the screen.
Easy Unlock - Smart Screen On Off
This App available for free from the Google Play store negates the need for the unlock button on Android phones and allows full screen unlocking using only the proximity sensor which is great for when using gloves as you just wave your hand over the screen to turn it on and off!
First install the App from Play Store:
Then Click the "Start Service button" and select "Wave your Hand over the Proximity Sensor".
You now should be able to just wave your hand over the phone screen to turn it on and off!
Double Tap To Lock
Another useful app that allows Android users to unlock their screens using a simple double tap on the screen.
First install the App from Play Store:
Once Installed simply select
Double tap the screen to unlock the phone and turn the screen on.
