The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and Ultra were released on January 29th 2021 after their announcement on the 14th of the same month. While the standard S21 was billed as a cheaper alternative to the S20, this was not entirely the case for the S21 Ultra which still packed in a great deal of new and top of the line features and can now be recognized as the new flagship phone for Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was announced with a suite of new features, and with a £200 decreased price tag that many welcomed due to the ever inflating prices associated with flagship phones.
Larger and heavier than the S20 Ultra, it further doubled down on the top tier camera as its primary feature. In reaction to a negative response to the pronounced camera bump that was present on the S20 Ultra, the S21 Ultra features a far more integrated and contoured set of camera lenses which help to make the phone more ergonomic. The camera itself has also been improved with the addition of dual telephoto lenses, which offer 3x and 10x optical zoom, up from the 4x optical zoom lens on the S20 Ultra. This allows for some fantastic zoom performance from a phone camera and further cements the device as the go to for content creators and photographers.
