Hello, I’m Wil! A road rider pretending to ride off road. Well, when I say ride, I mostly mean fall.
Various stages of my biking history over my 19 year ‘career’ has led me to the Tenere 700 coming from a Thruxton R. Despite the change, I am still a hipster at heart, so I still ride around in my Biltwell Gringo, just it has a peak now.
As an engineer and photographer, I try and mix form and function as best I can. I find the most focussed machines often look the best and thats where I tend to lean with my bikes. Throw them so far into function that the form eventually follows.
Riding, and the bike, has to be a ‘do-it-all’. in the 7 months of ownership I have used the T700 for fast road blasts, greenland wobbles, mild touring, daily commuting and I even managed to race it at the 2019 Bike Shed festival. With all that in mind, I am most happiest loading my camera into a bag, downloading a route on Viewranger and blindly following my dakar-esque UA phone mount.
Ride, stop, shoot, coffee, ride. What more could you ask for?!
Wil currently uses his Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max for motorcycle navigation and our excellent accessory bar mount for attachment to the latest adventure bikes.

A selection of good tunes can be just as important to your riding experience as the number of cc's you have underneath you. The kind of music that elevates your motorcycling experience depends hugely on the kind of person you are, and what you get out of the experience.
This year we have decided to take the time to share some of our local knowledge of the Scottish routes that we like to ride that are off the NC500 and still offer unique and thrilling twisties, panoramas and unique spots for a cup of coffee.
If you are excited by a true motorcycle adventure but don't have the time or ability to travel across the World then the TET is just the answer. Mixing accessibility with the feeling of travelling somewhere adventurous it is perfect for a one day or two week holiday that can fit in with your work and family commitments.
