For sports bike enthusiasts there are usually not many bikes that they dream of or wish to own above the Ducati Panigale.
Ducati began the Ducati Panigale line back in 2013 with the much anticipated and later revered 899 Panigale featuring the 899cc 90 degree Desmodromic V-twin engine producing a claimed 148hp and 99N.m of torque. There have and continue to be produced sportsbikes from other manufacturers that have similar performance specs but what really set the 899 Panigale apart was the extremely light and beautifully crafted monocoque frame that realised a dry weight of only 169kg.
For December 2013 the Ducati 899 Panigale surprised many riders by topping the sales charts and outselling even the Honda CBF125, The equivalent of Ferrari outselling the Ford Focus!
Fast Forward to 2019 for the current Ducati Panigale V2 model and the model is currently still selling strongly. With some updates the newer engine features an increased capacity to 955cc but retains the previous 90 degree Desmodromic configuration. Along with a few visual and feature updates power now sits at 155hp and 104nm of torque.
The Panigale V4 is renewed and upgraded year after year. 2020 produced V4 and V4 S which has a series of refinements making for a more user-friendly ride, while still boosting a faster bike not only on individual laps but over entire timed sessions.
The engine has a larger displacement than the MotoGP version, of 1,103 cm³. It delivers a power output of around 210 hp at 13,000 rpm and a torque of over 120 Nm.
The aerodynamics features include:
- Plexiglas screen, nose fairing and larger lateral fairings
- More efficient lateral vents for radiator through-air
Why fit a smartphone and waterproof smartphone case to your Panigale?
Ultimateaddons waterproof and shockproof smartphone cases are designed specifically for motorcycling. They let you use your smartphone as a top-of-the-line GPS navigation device without having to buy one.
They are also great for accessing your Bluetooth music while riding and taking and making phone calls so you don't have to mess around taking off your gloves and going in your jacket pockets!
Are you looking for a smartphone mounting system for your Panigale?
On some motorcycles there is not a lot of space for mounting systems, such as on sports bikes / sports tourers. However, our Ultimateaddons Panigale fork stem mounting attachment is design specifically for the Panigale.
We offer a 25mm / 1" ball head connection; options also include the Ultimateaddons version 2 of the 25mm to 3 prong adapter which fits a wide range of 1" / 25mm ball mounts. This is one of our most popular systems for sports bikes and sports tours.
