Ultimateaddons were privileged to receive RiDE Magazine's "Best Buy" Award in the March Issue! Let's look a little closer at what they had to say. Currently on the market there is a plethora of smartphone accessories from bluetooth headsets to wireless chargers. However the most sold accessory must surely be phone cases as in their naked form smartphones are exceptionally fragile with the high end handsets using aluminium and glass throughout their construction. There are also a huge amount of manufacturers making some form of attachment system so that a smartphone can be attached to a vehicle such as in a car and in some cases on a motorcycle.
A great deal of these are of Chinese origin and are usually inexpensive plastic phone gripper type devices with bendy necks. These are totally unsuitable for mounting an expensive smartphone such as a Samsung Galaxy S10 or iPhone 11 Pro to your motorcycle handlebars. This is down to the forces involved with motorcycles and of course the fact that motorcycles are exposed in all weather unlike in a car so your smartphone is going to get ruined if you are not careful. A certain number of manufacturers have either seen this problem and developed their own products or have been started up specifically to make them.
This brings us to why RiDE Magazine would choose to pitch the current crop of mainstream Motorcycle smartphone case manufacturers against each other. Finding real world experience on motorcycle smartphone case systems is a little thin on the ground and without someone else’s experience of the product it can be very hard to make an informed decision if a specific case is going to work for you. Luckily RiDE Magazine just completed the most thorough side by side review and test we have seen yet at Ultimateaddons!
At Ultimateaddons we were created to fill the gap in the market to produce a modular smartphone case system that allows a motorcyclist to easily use their smartphone as a high end GPS navigation system on their motorcycle without any worries of the smartphone being, lost or damaged. We also had functionality high on the list as we wanted to ensure you could use your phone all day in it’s tough case without a problem. Other manufacturers have taken different approaches with many now choosing to mount the exposed phone directly to the bike which we chose against due to the lack of weather and vibration protection.
RiDE Magazine thoroughly tested our waterproof, dustproof and shockproof smartphone case system against the likes of SW-Motech, SP Connect, Oxford, Givi and Quadlock. RiDE Magazine however appears to have taken an instant liking to our Waterproof, Tough smartphone case for iPhone and praised it thoroughly. We even snatched their coveted Best Buy award as they felt our motorcycle smartphone case system was extremely good value for the features it provided such as IPX5 rating against water and dust ingress as well as it’s extremely resilient shock absorbing system that protects your phone that none of the other cases provided.
We were extremely pleased to come out so well against our market competitors, but we do work extremely hard to ensure the best quality products and experience for our customers.
The March Issue of RiDE Magazine is currently available at most high street vendors as well as available from their website so head over and grab a copy from https://www.ride.co.uk of this excellent and insightful motorcycle magazine that really tests the products so you don’t have to!

Since Apple addressed riders concerns about iPhone cameras being susceptible to damage through motorcycle vibrations in 2021, we have been working to ensure our products will protect against any damage which may be caused. The results from our product testing are outlined in this blog.
